I’ve known Matt since High School, so that would make it roughly 100 years. I didn’t know him as well back then as I do now, but I got the impression that he was mature beyond his years, and just an overall good guy. The kind of guy you’d want your daughter to marry. Man how things have changed… just kidding Matt! :)
They chose not to see each other before the ceremony, but did share a moment together as you’ll see below. I was honored to get to photograph that. From the moment Matt saw his bride walking down the aisle toward him, they seemed to be lost in each other the rest of the day. It was like they zoned out from the rest of the world and it was just the two of them. I don’t remember them leaving each others’ side the rest of the night, and even during their portraits I felt it was better just to let them be, with very little direction. I wish I could take credit for the posing, but it was all completely natural. All I had to do was put them in nice light, focus, compose and click.
Matt and Jess are such awesome individuals, but it’s obvious to me that they make each other even better.
